In an election conducted by the Trustee of the Association,
Prof. Kpamor Joseph Targema Orkar and supported by Pa Isaac Yongo, a renowned
Linguist of our time, with Mrs. Mrumun Hyambe and Mr. Denen Atsua, under free and fair atmosphere devoid of anything
to be declared inconclusive, had the following as officials of the Mzoo U Zwa

At the end of the election, the Association’s Trustee, Prof. Orkar thanked members for the peaceful conduct of the general election and later swears-in the newly elected to assume office. He exhorted the new officers to do everything possible within their reach to take the association to higher heights.
In an acceptance speech, Fr. Akpagher on behalf of the new exco, thanked the Almighty God for His blessings. He appreciated members for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to serve with the fear of God to enable Tiv Language gain its lost glory. Fr. Akpagher called on members to support the exco to achieve the set goals.
It is worthy of note that Fr. Tagesa Akpagher is a priest with the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi, peddling the ship of St. Mary’s Mission Igbor as Parish Priest. He is the Director, Information Communication Technology, Director of Catechesis with the same Diocese; a member of the Interdiocesan Translation Committee, an author and Publisher of repute.
It is our believe and hope that, with his worth of experience in teaching and administration both at home and in the diaspora, coupled with a formidable team behind him, comprising seasoned scholars such as Rev. D. T. Karshima, Bem Tiv and Emmanuel Mase amongst others. Fr. would take the association from its present status to an unprecedented level in the course of few years.
Let me use this medium to invite all Tiv sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora, to the Tiv Language Studies and Development Association (Mzoo U Zwa Tiv), lend in their support to develop and propagate our language and culture, so that we can preserve it for posterity.
Mzoo U Zwa Tiv holds her monthly General Meeting, every Second Thursday of the Month at Gboko or any other designated area within Tiv land.
